Gone are the days when Chris Evans was just goofball supporting player amongst a sea of bigger stars. He's now officially a leading man with his blockbuster turn in Captain America: The First Avenger, and while he'll be stuck in the land of cape and superpowers for a few years yet, when time allows he's managed to squeeze in an indie flick or two.
Puncture stars Evans as a drug addicted attorney, who along with his best friend and partner(co-director Mark Kassen), are struggling to keep their firm afloat. They take on the case of a nurse(Vinessa Shaw) stuck by a contaminated syringe, which turns out to be just the tip of a conspiracy which threatens to swallow them all whole. Based on a supposedly true story, the script was written by Chris Lopata, with Adam Kassen co-directing. Even with Evans' new found fame, I wouldnt' expect a very large roll out for this one.
