Trailer Time: Tyrannosaur, directed by Paddy Considine
Paddy Considine has proven he can do pretty much whatever he wants in front of the camera. Probably best recognized for his breakthrough performance in In America, he played a small but hilarious bit in Hot Fuzz, and has also done gritty crime flicks like the Red Riding trilogy. The guy is a machine, and even playing a gay cop opposite Jason Statham in Blitz. But now he's taking those natural skills and using them to direct his fellow actors with his new film, Tyrannosaur.
Earning rave reviews at Sundance, where it won multiple awards, including the World Cinema Award for Best Director, the film stars Peter Mullan(Children of Men, Red Riding) as a violent man on the verge of self destruction. He finds a chance at redemption when he meets Hannah(Olivia Colman), a deeply religious who forges a bond with him so intense that it stirs a jealous rage within her husband(Eddie Marsan). Considine not only directed, but wrote the script as well, an expansion of his award winning short film, Dog Altogether.
November appears to be the soonest we may see this one stateside, but nothing is confirmed as of yet. Check out the trailer for Tyrannosaur below...
