I've been thankful for the slow down in Hobbit-related information the last couple of weeks, because for awhile there Peter Jackson was simply overwhelming us. It's all just in preparation for the premier of the first trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which will premier online tomorrow night at 10pm eastern/7pm pacific. It will also be attached to showings of The Adventures of Tintin the following day.
The January issue of Empire also features an image of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins. It's Bilbo's epic quest to reclaim the dwarf kingdom of Erebor by defeating the dragon Smaug that is the catalyst for everything we've come to know in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will open next year on December 14th 2012. The final chapter, The Hobbit: There and Back Again opens a year later on December 13th.
