There's some slick new footage in this German trailer for The Avengers, so it doesn't really matter that I(and likely you) don't understand a word of what anybody is saying. Marvel is selling this thing on straight up action at this point. That means more of Captain America(Chris Evans) and Thor(Chris Hemsworth) kicking each other's asses, and more of Nick Fury(Samuel L. Jackson) and that rocker launcher he seems so fond of.
There is one scene that demands translation, however, and it's the little meeting we catch a glimpse of between Black Widow(Scarlett Johansson) and Banner(Mark Ruffalo). If it looks a little heated, there is a good reason for that. She's trying to get him to join the squad and he ain't havin' it. She probably doesn't want to make him angry. Nobody likes him when he's angry....
In case you're wondering, the Black Widow/Banner conversation actually goes like this....
Widow: You have to join!
Banner: And what if I say no?
Widow: Then I will convince you to!
