Who needs more goodie two-shoes superhero movies about guys in capes saving the world? The world is boring. Blow sh*t up! Seriously, it'll be a nice change of pace to see what happens when people gain amazing new powers and have no clue how to use them responsibly. Throw in a healthy dose of raging teenage hormones and questionable morality, and you've got Chronicle, the new flick from Joshua Trank.
I have a feeling this one's going to take people by surprise. The story follows three high school buds( Michael B. Jordan, Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell) who make a discovery that grants them superhuman powers, which they exploit to their own personal gain. Things spiral out of control as one of them begins to use his abilities with increasingly destructive results.
The latest trailer has been released, and it's not that much different from the one we saw before. The most disturbing bit comes in the new clip, which shows one of the boys testing his newfound powers on a living creature. Chronicle is set to open on February 3rd....
