Sure Shots: Naveen Andrews; Duncan Jones; Michelle Monaghan

* It's been a couple of months since Naomi Watts signed on to play Princess Diana in Oliver Hirschbiegel's biopic, now simply titled Diana(formerly Catching Flight). While it's been a little quiet, there has now been some movement as Naveen Andrews(Lost) has joined the cast. He'll play Dr. Hasnat Khan, who had a brief affair with Diana during the latter stage of her life, before her tragic auto accident. Stephen Jeffreys(The Libertine) provided the screenplay. * So far, Duncan Jones has wowed us with two amazing, very different sci-fi movies in Moon and Source Code. Since then, fans have been eager for anything he'll do next, and he's certainly flirted with some big time projects. We know he was at least up for both The Wolverine and Man of Steel, but those gigs ended up going to others. Now we know what's next up for him as he's on board to direct a biopic on James Bond creator, Ian Fleming. We first mentioned this film back in 2009(!!!) when James McAvoy came aboard to star, and it's unclear whether that's still the case. The film will be based on Andrew Lycett's biography, Ian Fleming: The Man Behind James Bond, and adapted by Matt Brown. [Man Made Movies]

* The best thing about Michelle Monaghan is that she manages to always be likable regardless of the movie she's in. Usually it's a role far beneath her talents, but when given solid material to work such as in a film like Trucker, you can't help but root for her. Just days after we learned she'd be joining Owen Wilson in action/comedy, The Coup, we find out she'll now team with Susan Sarandon in a thriller titled Still of Night.  Written and directed by Jonathan Mostow(Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), Monaghan plays an aspiring career woman with everything going her way, until her sister disappears and she's forced to look after her young daughter. Susan Sarandon plays a criminal who Monaghan will have to outwit in order to save the lives of her sister and her family. Shooting is set to begin in August. [Deadline]
