New poster and image from assassin flick, 'Violet & Daisy', with Saoirse Ronan and Alexis Bledel

By now you'd think we'd have heard more about a release date for Violet & Daisy, which debuted at TIFF last fall and features a number of elements studios should find appealing. First of all, it stars Saoirse Ronan(Hanna) and Alexis Bledel(Sin City) as a pair of teenaged assassins, with James Gandolfini and Danny Trejo also part of the cast. And second, the film has Oscar pedigree as it was written and directed by Geoffrey Fletcher, the award-winning screenwriter of Precious. So what's the hold up?

Whatever the reason, Shadow and Act has discovered a poster for the film, along with a new image depicting what appears to be Bledel in the midst of stacking up bodies in a bathtub. Sweet. The reviews weren't all that great coming out of TIFF, but that's never stopped an easily marketable film like this from coming out before.
