Sharlto Copley explores Jupiter's moon in first 'The Europa Report' trailer

Well here's a film that probably everyone has forgotten about by now. We first learned about The Europa Report last year when Sharlto Copley and Michael Nyqvist came aboard the space exploration thriller. Back in February the first image dropped, and we've seen or heard nothing about since. Now all of a sudden comes a very brief, mysterious trailer that leaves more questions than answers.

Directed by Sebastian Cordero(Cronicas), the story follows six astronauts who journey to Jupiter's titular moon to investigate whether extraterrestrial life exists there. There's been a lot of talk in the science community lately over evidence of lakes on Europa's surface, leading to the theory that it may be one of the best chances we've got of discovering other forms of life. Whether or not the film is taking any actual information or research into account is unclear, and probably won't be until we see a more complete trailer.

The Europa Report doesn't have a release date yet, but I'm guessing it will turn up some time next year....
