Maggie Q, Zoe Kravitz, and Ansel Elgort join Shailene Woodley in 'Divergent'
The cast of young adult adaptation Divergent is shaping up quite nicely, in hopes of it doing far better business than Beautiful Creatures did. Shailene Woodley in the lead role of Beatrice "Tris" Prior was a good start, as she's a definite star on the rise. The male lead has been eyed by a number of promising actors, including Alex Pettyfer, Jeremy Irvine, and Lucas Till, but while that role is still unfilled, THR reports three others have joined in the meantime.
Maggie Q (Live Free or Die Hard), Ansel Elgort (Carrie), and Zoe Kravitz (It's Kind of a Funny Story) have signed on to the sci-fi tale, set in a distant future where society is divided into five ideological factions. At the age of 16, Tris must decide her allegiance, a choice which could tip the balance of power forever. Elgort will play Tris' twin brother, Caleb; Q is a tattoo artist named Tori; and Kravitz is Christina, who Tris considers a friend and ally.
Q is a bad ass tough chick who also stars in Nikita, so hopefully she gets a chance to kick a little butt. Directed by Neil Burger, Divergent hits theaters on March 21st 2014.
