Sarah Silverman joins 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'

Over the last year we've seen Sarah Silverman branching out from the raunchy brand of humor we've grown accustomed to. She made a strong turn for the dramatic opposite Michelle Williams in Take this Waltz, and recently lent her voice to the Disney animated comedy, Wreck-It Ralph. But she hasn't completely left her naughty side behind, and Seth MacFarlane hopes to put it to good use in his comedy-western, A Million Ways to Die in the West.

THR reports that Silverman will play a well-worn prostitute who engages in all sorts of lewd acts for paying customers, but refuses to have sex with her fiancé (Giovanni Ribisi) because their religion forbids it before marriage. MacFarlane will direct, co-write the script and star as a cowardly sheep farmer who backs out of a gun fight, losing his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried) in the process. With the help of a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron), he learns how to be a tougher man, only to run afoul of her outlaw husband (Liam Neeson) who wants a measure of revenge.

Coming off the $500M+ success of Ted, MacFarlane seems to be able to lure anyone he wants for his follow-up. The pieces are coming together quickly, so expect filming to begin soon.
