New posters for 'World War Z', 'Grown Ups 2', 'Girl Most Likely', and 'Getaway'

After a really lazy poster for World War Z hit just a couple of days ago (it was basically the same as an earlier one), a new one has been released which....well, it ain't a whole lot better. It does offer us a look at Mirielle Enos as the wife of Brad Pitt's character in the zombie flick, but this is an image we've seen splashed everywhere for months, Photoshopped onto a generic background of city-wide destruction. Perhaps at this point we're all just being screwed with because this film has the stink of failure all over it. We'll find out whether Brad Pitt can save World War Z from disaster on June 21st.

Remember those fake awful movies that Adam Sandler was a part of in Judd Apatow's Funny People? That's pretty much what Grown Ups was, and yet it was wildly successful enough to warrant Sandler's first sequel of his career. Lucky us. Two new posters hammer home the point pretty good that he and his crew of overgrown man-children Kevin James, David Spade, and Chris Rock, haven't matured a lick in two years. Both images feature Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, and Salma Hayek as their wives, with only Bello looking remotely happy about the situation. The film co-stars Shaquille O'Neal and Taylor Lautner, the latter as an alpha male jock making Sandler look like an old fogey. Grown Ups 2 arrives on July 12th.

Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening are joined by Glee star Darren Criss on the new poster for Girl Most Likely, a film that is going to struggle gaining any attention this summer. Wiig stars as Imogene, a once-successful playwright who uses her dramatic skills to fake an elaborate suicide in order to win back her ex-boyfriend. When it goes wrong, she's placed in the custody of her estranged mother, a gambling addict living on the Jersey shore. Girl Most Likely hits theaters on July 19th.

It's always a little disconcerting when promo material for a film I've never heard of arrives, especially when it stars big names like Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez. And so we have a teaser poster for Getaway, which has Hawke playing Brent Magna, a "burned out race car driver who is thrust into a do-or-die mission behind the wheel when his wife is kidnapped. With Brent’s only ally being a young hacker, his one hope of saving his wife is to follow the orders of the mysterious voice who’s watching his every move through cameras mounted on the car Brent’s driving. " So it's what...Swordfish meets Need for Speed? Whatever. Getaway opens on August 30th. [IMPA]
