New teaser image from 'Insidious Chapter 2'

He may be taking the unlikely step of directing Fast & Furious 7 this summer, but James Wan isn't leaving the horror genre behind one bit. In just a few months he'll terrorize audiences with The Conjuring, and this fall brings Insidious Chapter 2, the sequel to 2011's hit.

With the first trailer due to hit shortly, a new, searing red teaser image has arrived of something nasty lurking behind a curtain. It kind of has to be something nasty, right? I mean it's probably not going to be star Patrick Wilson or Rose Byrne because they're not all that scary. The film reunites the original cast, and pairs Wan up with his screenwriting partner Leigh Whannell, and centers on “The haunted Lambert family seeks to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.”

Insidious Chapter 2 opens on September 13th.
