Even if you aren't old enough to have ever watched the Super Friends, or more accurately The All New Super Friends Hour, chances are you know what "Wonder Twins powers activate!!" is about. It was the rather silly battle cry of sibling superheroes Zan and Jayna when they would touch fists and transform. Zan had the (mostly) useless power of turning into water, which meant Jayna had to transform into something that could carry him in a bucket. It was all pretty silly, and watching them team up with better heroes like Batman and Superman would have been funny if it wasn't so sad. So why would Warner Bros. ever think of making a movie about those two?
Well, chances are they aren't, but either something is going on or Warner Bros. has a great sense of humor. Midtown Comics, headquartered up in Manhattan, received a poster direct from Warner Bros. that seems to suggest a Wonder Twins movie is coming in 2014. What's more, it says Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher would be playing the sibling duo. What, no mention of their pet monkey, Gleek? The likelihood is that this is all some form of viral marketing for another WB flick, and there's some speculation it could be for the Entourage film. On the HBO series there was a time when Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier) was set to star in an Aquaman movie for James Cameron. Could he have moved on to these obscure characters next?
Or maybe Warner Bros. is better at hiding stuff than we thought? Nah, doubt it. Stay tuned.
