Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson Sign Up for 'Central Intelligence'
If Dwayne Johnson is "franchise Viagra" for action flicks, then Kevin Hart is the king of comedy right now. Both have been racking up one hit after another over the last couple of years, and now we're going to get to see what this potentially amazing duo can when they join forces for Central Intelligence.
Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (We're the Millers) and once set to star Ed Helms, the film now will have Hart as a former high school sports superstar turned accountant, with Johnson as his former classmate who was a bullied loser back in the day. But now he's grown up to be a contract killer for the CIA, and ropes the accountant into helping him stop a plot to sell classified military secrets. This might have been funnier if the roles were reversed, honestly.
Ed Helms will exec-produce, with the Marshall providing the latest draft of the script. Filming will begin in the spring, so get ready for the Rock to crack plenty of jokes about Hart's height, or lack thereof.
