Josh Gad could Star as Roger Ebert in 'Russ & Roger Go Beyond'

Imagine how badly you'd get ripped by critics for doing a terrible job at playing beloved film critic Roger Ebert. That's a prospect Josh Gad may have to face if he agrees to play Ebert in Russ & Roger Go Beyond.

According to The Wrap, Gad is the top choice to play Ebert in the film which stars Will Ferrell as B-movie director, Russ Meyer.  The story will focus on their collaboration Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Ebert's only screenwriting credit. So far Gad hasn't read a script, in fact he told Collider his participation is merely a rumor for now, and none of it matters until a director is found. But having Ferrell and Gad on board for a film on Roger Ebert is a pretty good way to attract a big name behind the camera.
