Rumor: Jason Momoa Has Joined 'Batman vs. Superman' Cast

Rumors have been swirling around Jason Momoa's involvement in Batman vs. Superman since last year, yet  the only hard word on it came when the actor came out and denied them. Despite his denials, the stories have persisted and now the generally reliable folks at Batman News are saying Momoa is officially on board, and has been for a couple of months.

Assuming the story's source is accurate, Momoa is joining a film that is beginning to look more and more like a Justice League movie rather than a Man of Steel sequel. And that would hold especially true if Momoa ends up in the roles of either Martian Manhunter or Aquaman as has been speculated in the past. There was also some talk of him as the villain, Doomsday. He'd be the second big addition this week after Ray Fisher came aboard in the role of Victor Stone aka Cyborg.

Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg, Holly Hunter, Callan Muley, and Tao Okamoto, Batman vs. Superman opens May 6th 2016.

Ray Fisher is Cyborg in 'Batman vs. Superman'

Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel, currently going by the unofficial title of Batman vs. Superman, is starting to look more like a Justice League movie. With Ben Affleck added as the dark knight, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and reports of other heroes appearing, Variety is now reporting that Ray Fisher will take on the role of Cyborg.

Fisher beat out a number of actors that Snyder and Warner Bros. tested over the last few weeks, securing his first major film role after a career in theater. Snyder and David Goyer hinted that Cyborg, aka Victor Stone, was referenced in Man of Steel, and he does get talked about a little bit in the film's Blu-Ray special features. Cyborg's role is expected to grow in subsequent films while getting limited screen time in his debut.

In the comics, Victor Stone was the son of scientist parents who used him as a test subject, enhancing his intelligence artificially. Later, an experiment at STAR Labs goes terribly wrong, killing Victor's mother and severely mutilating his body. To save his son's life, Victor's father builds him a new body of experimental prosthetics.

There may be a reason why Warner Bros. is refraining to give the film an official title, using Batman vs. Superman as a cover for their real objective. Is it possible that they are actually planning Justice League now and don't want to give it away? Whatever the plan is, we'll see it unfold on May 6th 2016.

Rumor: Holly Hunter's 'Batman vs. Superman' Role Revealed?

The gang over at Latino Review have dropped a wholly unsubstantiated rumor about Holly Hunter's role in Batman vs. Superman, adding to a pile of unsubstantiated rumors about the film, overall. But that's the nature of these things, and as always it's best to file these things away until something official comes down from the studio. Their rumor, which sounds like pure speculation rather than any source, states that Hunter, who joined the film just days ago, will be playing Leslie Thompkins "or a Leslie Thompkins replacement character”. Those are two totally different things, and the answer will go a long way in whether Latino Review's story is spot-on or a bunch of nonsense.

When Warner Bros. announced Hunter's casting, they specifically stated her character was newly created for the Man of Steel sequel, but Leslie Thompkins is an established figure in Bruce Wayne's life. She was a close friend and colleague to Bruce's father, Thomas Wayne, and when the Waynes were murdered she served as as surrogate mother to the young boy. She was there to comfort him on the night they were killed and continues to be an ally and mentor while running a clinic right in the heart of Crime Alley.

Thompkins is an important character, but not the kind that is worth keeping secret. Warner Bros. has played fast and loose with the truth in their announcements before, just as they did with Marion Cotillard's role in The Dark Knight Rises. That was understandable, though, but this would make no sense hiding.

But y'never know. We'll see if this rumor holds water soon enough.

Marvel Confirms 'Captain America 3' will Face 'Batman vs. Superman' in 2016

With Captain America: The Winter Soldier racking up an incredible $96M its opening weekend, and $303M worldwide, Marvel has every reason to be confident in the strength of their brand. A few weeks ago Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige didn't back down from a rumor that Captain America 3 would open opposite Warner Bros.' Batman vs. Superman, and now it's been confirmed the two films will indeed have a showdown.

Marvel has announced Captain America 3 for May 6th 2016, pitting it against the Man of Steel sequel on that date. It's a ballsy move for both studios if they decide to stay, but considering how well 'The Winter Soldier' fared, one has to think Warner Bros. will back down because they have so much more to lose. In fact, some stories have already sprung up saying they intend to move back a week.

Joe and Anthony Russo will be back to direct, along with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely who have hinted at seeing psychotic 1950s Captain America in the story.

Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto, and Callan Mulvey Join 'Batman vs. Superman'

With Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Gal Gadot coming aboard Batman vs. Superman, the cast Zack Snyder is assembling is a pretty good one. They should be more than capable of filling the void left by Russell Crowe who won't be returning as Jor-El. And now that cast has just gotten even better with three new additions; two with previous comic book movie experience, and one screen veteran.

Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto, and Callan Mulvey are officially joining the Man of Steel sequel, in new roles created for the film. Mulvey's casting is interesting because his name came up a few months ago to play a villain, and that may still be the case. He was recently seen in the Zack Snyder-scripted 300: Rise of an Empire, and is a member of SHIELD's Strike unit in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.  Okamoto was seen last summer in The Wolverine as Mariko Yashida.

Batman vs. Superman opens May 6th 2016.

DC May Avoid Marvel Showdown by Moving 'Batman vs. Superman'

The rivalry between DC Comics and Marvel has been long, occasionally friendly but often ugly. As the two companies have taken to the cinematic arena it's only become more contentious. That competition promised to get cranked up a notch when DC slotted their Man of Steel sequel for May 6th 2016, the same date Marvel pegged for an untitled mystery film. That led to speculation that one of the studios would buckle and move their movie to a different date, but according to Marvel President Kevin Feige it won't be them. He tells Slashfilm....

"We’re certainly keeping the date there and we’ll announce what that movie is, I assume, in the next few months."

He has reason to talk tough considering the wealth of options at his disposal, and the fact that every one of their films has boomed since The Avengers. Warner Bros. and DC have some issues to work out, though. Jeremy Irons, recently signed to play Alfred Pennyworth in the Batman vs. Superman flick, has said the script isn't quite finished yet. If that's true it would lend some credence to a rumor surfacing at Judao saying Batman vs. Superman has been bumped forward a week to April 29th 2016.

The thing is, a week's lead time isn't going to offer much elbow room. They'll still be cannibalizing the same audience and neither film will do as well as they could. This is looking like a pretty comical situation developing and one worth keeping an eye on.

Zack Snyder Talks 'Man of Steel 2' Critics; Says Film Explodes Batman/Superman Universes

The worst thing that can happy in any specific medium, but especially in the worlds of comic books and movies, is to get no reaction at all. The lack any real passion indicates a lack of interest, which always means low sales and terrible box office. And by that measure, the roaring outcry over every move Zack Snyder has made for his Man of Steel sequel shows that a lot of fans are interested in the direction he takes iconic heroes Batman, Superman, and even Wonder Woman.

But it's not all good, and in a conversation with LA Times, Snyder spoke about the pressure and the extreme scrutiny he's faced just in the casting process...

Snyder: "There are two ways to think about it. We know the material. Unfortunately, the fans don’t know the material. So, we’re casting according to what’s happening in the script. And we’re hoping that leads to enough originality, enough perspective on what we’re doing that you get something fresh and exciting. I understand the canon. I’m not crazy. I know what these characters need from a mythological standpoint. I think Jesse is going to be an amazing Lex. Let’s not forget he was nominated for an Academy Award. It’s not like I just grabbed my friend to play the guy! This guy’s the real deal. By the way, in looking at all the talk-back, you can get all different perspectives in there too. Some people are hating to hate. Some people — someone did some fan art. And you look underneath and someone wrote, “I guess I can see it.” Honestly, are you kidding me? Just stop it! It’s reassuring and frustrating at the same time."

Snyder seems to recognize that it'll be impossible to make every single fan happy, but is excited to be moving forward on a story that doesn't necessarily stick to the comic book mythos....

Snyder: "Not just that. [The movie] literally takes the “Man of Steel” and “Batman” universes and explodes them. You’re not as tied to the mythology. In “Man of Steel,” we had to create an origin story, a mythology, and there’s a lot of energy into that, which we love doing. Don’t get me wrong. But when you think about how fun it is too — now that you’ve got these characters — to now let ‘em loose."

The perception seems to be that, because Snyder and David Goyer have dared to present a Superman we've never seen on-screen before, that they somehow don't care about the character. That doesn't seem to be the case, and Snyder in particualar does appear to grasp just how important Superman is to a lot of people and is excited about this opportunity to tell his adventures....

Snyder: "We’re getting ready to start shooting in a month or so. It’s going great. I’m very excited. It’s very fun to get into this world with different heroes coexisting in the same universe, but a lot of balls in the air as they say. As a fan, it’s an amazing opportunity. You know, Superman and Batman in the movies have never existed in the same frame together. So it’s an interesting historical thing. We were just testing the suits, right? The new Batsuit and the Superman suit. It wasn’t even with the actors, right? It was just to see ‘em. I was standing there, they were standing next to each other. And I was like, “Guys, someone take a picture! This has never happened before.” We slightly dork out. Like, “Are you kidding me?!”

Batman vs. Superman opens May 6th 2016.

Gal Gadot Flexes her Muscles After Workout for 'Batman vs. Superman'

I've found the whole argument over Gal Gadot being Wonder Woman to be a little silly. Ever since she was cast as the Amazonian warrior in Batman vs. Superman, some have complained that she's too skinny for the role. Never mind that she's shown herself to be quite the physical actress in the past as part of the Fast & Furious movies. And of course there's the fact that she's going to walk onto the set for the first time after spending months in physical training to build up her body mass, just like all of the guys will have to. You think skinny-ass Christian Bale looked like Batman before he won the role all those years ago? Nope, not at all.

So anyway, Gadot has taken to her Facebook page to show off her muscles post-workout. As we've previously learned, her routine involves kickboxing, sword training, kung fu and more that makes her not only sexy as all Hell, but capable of kicking a lot of ass.  The image comes with the caption: "There's nothing like a good workout in the morning. Love it! You?"

Yes I do, Ms. Gadot. Yes I do. Hopefully she'll get a chance to put all this training to good use by stompin' a mud hole in Henry Cavill's Superman.

Batman vs. Superman aka Man of Steel 2 opens on May 6th 2016.

Possible Details on Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor in 'Batman vs. Superman'

It seems some just can't get over Jesse Eisenberg playing Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman, and the complaining about Zombieland star has yet to slow down over the last week. Perhaps they had their minds set on someone else (Bryan Cranston, maybe?), or feel the character will stick too closely to his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, although why that would be a bad thing is unclear. Whatever the case may be, nobody has any exact details on who Lex Luthor will actually be in the film, although Latino Review claims to know.

The site, which admits this could all change due to Chris Terrio's rewrite, has hit their sources and come up with a spoiler-filled description of Luthor and his connection to Superman and Batman. First of all, they note that Lex is most definitely bald, and is apparently "one part tech genius, one part ruthless business man and two parts Metropolis street tough." with tattoos of Metropolis on his body. He's the richest man on the planet and the owner of LexCorp, and he perceives Superman to be an alien (which he literally is!) and an intruder on this planet. He also doesn't think very highly of Bruce Wayne, considering him to be a trust fund baby born into his wealth, while Luthor worked his way up from the streets. While he's convinced Superman is mortal and can be killed, his real obsession is with Batman, leading so some sort of eventual conflict.

Okay, so the "street tough" stuff sounds a little ridiculous and not at all the sort of role one would expect from Eisenberg, there's every reason to believe he can pull it off. Plus it makes more sense to have an actor closer to Henry Cavill's age, and Warner Bros. came to that same conclusion according to THR. While Girls star Adam Driver was considered for the role at one point, he had to pass due to a scheduling conflict. So much for those rumors of him playing Nightwing. Joaquin Phoenix was in the mix but turned it down, and Cranston, who seems to have been the popular choice, was never even approached.

We'll see if any of this Luthor stuff pans out when Batman vs. Superman opens May 6th 2016.

Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons is Alfred in 'Batman vs. Superman'

So while the rumors have suggested Bryan Cranston or Joaquin Phoenix for the Lex Luthor role in Batman vs. Superman, Warner Bros. is going in a completely different direction. With Henry Cavill as a somewhat younger version of the Man of Steel, they are going for a more youthful version of his arch-nemesis by setting Jesse Eisenberg for the role.

Warner Bros. has announced that Eisenberg will play Luthor, which makes sense since both he and Cavill are 30 years old. In addition, Jeremy Irons has been brought on to play Bruce Wayne's loyal butler, Alfred. Both are great additions to surround Cavill and Ben Affleck with, although let's face it...nobody's going to beat Michael Caine as Alfred. Let's be honest here.

Anyway, this is a solid move in the right direction, and we know Eisenberg can make for an awesome douchebag when he needs to.

Batman vs. Superman opens May 6th 2016.

Rumor: Matthew Goode has Met for 'Batman vs. Superman' Role

When Zack Snyder began looking at actors to play Superman in Man of Steel, one of the names on the shortlist was Matthew Goode. And for awhile he seemed to be a legit contender. The two had worked together on Snyder's last DC Comics adaptation, Watchmen, so they had a working history. Of course the role ultimately went to Henry Cavill, but maybe Snyder and Goode are going to give it another go in Batman vs. Superman?

CBM has a rumor stating that Goode has met with Warner Bros. brass about a role in the Man of Steel sequel, and that's pretty much all the information they have. Let's not forget that Goode was also briefly considered to play Batman in the film before they gave the cowl to Ben Affleck, so somebody over there really wants to bring Goode back under the umbrella. That's assuming any of this is true, of course.

Any ideas on who he could play? Batman vs. Superman opens May 6th 2016.

Josh Holloway Latest Rumored for 'Batman vs. Superman'

To the best of anyone's knowledge, there are no plans to have Aquaman in Man of Steel 2, Batman vs. Superman, or whatever Warner Bros. decides to title the film. That apparently hasn't stopped rumors the king of Atlantis will surface in some way, and if he does, CBM says he could be played by Josh Holloway.

In what should be filed away under the "unlikely rumor" category, the site says Holloway is being "strongly" considered for a role in the superhero sequel, speculating that it could be as Aquaman. Most fans know Holloway for his role as Sawyer on ABC's Lost, but now he's currently starring in the new series Intelligence. He's also appeared in Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol, but his most challenging role to date was playing a former B-boy in Battle of the Year. "Challenging" in that it was totally unbelievable.

So keep this in mind just in case it pans out. Would anybody have predicted we'd have Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman just a few months ago? Probably not. Since Holloway isn't likely to be Aquaman, what character do you think he'd be a better fit for?

Man of Steel 2 opens July 17th 2015.

'Man of Steel 2' Rumors on Jason Momoa's Role, Wonder Woman, Arrow, and More

Filming on Man of Steel 2, frustratingly still referred to as Batman vs. Superman, should begin very soon, which means we will start getting answers to some long-held questions. While rumors continue to swirl, and have really picked up as of late, Batman On Film is one of the more reliable sources of information for anything involving the Dark Knight. One of their more authoritative voices is "Jett", and he answered a number of reader questions that could shed some new light on a few things. Here's a quick summary of what he revealed, courtesy of the guys over at CBM....

- Jason Mamoa will not be Martian Manhunter or Aquaman. Neither character is in the film.

- Wonder Woman could have “cameo plus” type role in the film, on par with what Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow did in Iron Man 2

- Expects the first look at Ben Affleck in early 2014 right around the time they will start filming in February.

- Has been told that the film is truly a Superman sequel and not a secret Justice League film like everyone suspects.

- Thinks that Arrow being included in the DC Movie Universe is wishful thinking.

- Believes we will get another Superman sequel without any other DC characters.

- Character wise he expects Batman to be, “ a healthy amount of Dark Knight Returns, a bit of Kingdom Come, and just a dash of Batman Beyond.”

- No Batman villains will be included.

- Doesn’t expect any shade of blue or tights for the Batsuit. More armor with Beyond and or Kingdom Come capabilities.

He also confirms Lex Luthor will be in the film, which we sort of already suspected, and that there is indeed another villain that he can't reveal just yet. Bets are on it being Doomsday or perhaps Darkseid, either of which could be played convincingly by Momoa.

It makes sense there would be some concern over too many characters crowding into what should be a Man of Steel sequel, but it sounds as if Warner Bros. is smart enough not to let Superman get lost in the shuffle. There are ways of introducing Wonder Woman, Flash, and whoever else make an appearance without veering too far off course into Justice League territory.

Nothing too revelatory but there's still some solid info in there. Man of Steel 2 arrives July 17th 2015.

Shocker! No Truth to Denzel Washington as Green Lantern Rumor

Not that there was ever any doubt, but there doesn't seem to be any truth behind rumors Denzel Washington is playing Green Lantern in Batman vs. Superman. The original story emerged over at Nuke the Fridge, not the most credible of sources, but it took off with numerous sites posting it as fact when it was anything but. Now the highly-respected folks at Batman News have weighed in, and since they're generally spot-on when it comes to the Dark Knight, what they have to say means a lot...

"The rumor of the day is that Denzel Washington will be playing Green Lantern in Batman vs. Superman, but that’s simply not true. From what we’ve heard so far, Green Lantern isn’t even going to be in Batman vs. Superman. Like every other great actor in Hollywood, Washington’s name has been tied to the role of Lex Luthor, but we’re still waiting for Warner Bros. to confirm if the bald Superman villain will even be a part of the project."

Pretty much nailed it. The only beef I have with anything the site has to say is they posted a tweet by Latino Review where they mock Nuke the Fridge as "a bunch of cornballs". Last I checked, LR has posted some questionable (read: totally horseshit) rumors themselves, but whatever.

Rumor: Denzel Washington is Green Lantern in 'Batman vs. Superman'

Denzel Washington's name gets thrown around a lot for a lot of things, and he's now being ground up into the superhero movie rumor mill. Earlier this month a report surfaced that Warner Bros. was approaching him for the role of Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman, but that story never went anywhere because...well, there was nothing to back it up. Meanwhile things took a turn as Joaquin Phoenix's name became associated with the part. Now Denzel is back in the mix, only it's supposedly to play a certain emerald hero with a fine piece of jewelry.

The folks over at Nuke the Fridge state unequivocally that Denzel is going to play Green Lantern John Stewart in the Man of Steel sequel. They claim to have a source with the info, and perhaps they do, but this seems unlikely despite Denzel suggesting his interest in a comic book movie previously. It's one thing for Ben Affleck to play Batman since he'll be an integral part of the story, but if Denzel is going to do one of these movies it's going to be as the star, not as part of an ensemble. When was the last film he's done where he wasn't the centerpiece? Has it ever happened? Well it won't start now. It doesn't even seem as if Green Lantern will be in the movie at this point. Although it's good to see the rumors centered on a John Stewart GL and not Hal Jordan, played rather terribly before by Ryan Reynolds.

I think everyone I know has their heart set on Idris Elba, but as long as he's hanging out in Asgard it isn't going to happen.

If any of this turns out to be true, Denzel would join Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. The Flash and Nightwing are expected to make appearances in the film, clearly setting the stage for a future Justice League movie.

Batman vs Superman opens July 17th 2015.

Gal Gadot Talks Physical Training to Play Wonder Woman in 'Batman vs. Superman'

Ever since Gal Gadot was named to play Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman, there has been a ton of criticism over the decision, and the vast majority of it that I've heard has been about her physique. To me that's absurd given how physical she's proven to be in the Fast & Furious movies, and because even Ben Affleck is pumping up to play Batman. Do people really not think Gadot is going to undertake a similar program? While on an Israeli talk program, Gadot revealed she's already started getting buff to play the Amazonian princess.

Gadot: "It’s the physical preparations that I’m starting now. A very serious training regimen – Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, jujutsu, Brazilian. A thousand and one things. I’ll gain body mass."

She even has a few words for those who think her body type isn't accurate enough to reflect DC Comics' fictional version of the Amazons...

Gadot: "I represent the Wonder Woman of the new world. Breasts anyone can buy for 9,000 shekels and everything is fine. By the way, Wonder Woman is Amazonian, and historically accurate Amazonian women actually had only one breast. So, if I’d really go 'by the book', it’d be problematic."

I remember years ago when fans complained Hugh Jackman was too tall to play Wolverine. Heck, I was one of them. You don't hear those complaints anymore, and I suspect in a couple of years people will get over Gadot not looking like Chyna or something. Actually it seems people want her to be more like Gina Carano, or for Warner Bros. to just hire Carano outright. I wouldn't have complained if they did (and it would be interesting given her on/off again relationship with Henry Cavill) but Gadot has more long-term upside in my opinion.

Batman vs. Superman opens July 17th 2015. The full interview is below, and if she already wasn't hot enough listening to her talk in Hebrew is pretty sexy. Oh, and the above image was done by a fan. Chances are she'll look very different when all is said and done.

'Batman vs. Superman' to get Rewrite from 'Argo' Screenwriter

While fans wait with baited breath for more word on Joaquin Phoenix taking on the role of Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman, the film apparently needs a bit of retooling. Warner Bros.' #1 dude David Goyer wrote the initial version of the script, but now it's getting a fresh rewrite from Oscar-winning Argo writer, Chris Terrio.

Terrio is obviously close with the studio and star Ben Affleck, who will be suiting up as an older, grizzled Batman in the Man of Steel sequel. Details on it remain scarce but we know it will introduce Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, and Nightwing and the Flash are expected to be in the mix. Jason Momoa and Callan Muley are being eyed for bad guys in the crowded superhero film, which is expected to help set up a future Justice League movie.

With Goyer involved with a number of projects, including the recently confirmed Sandman adaptation, it makes sense to bring in a heavy-hitter like Terrio. Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman vs Superman opens July 17th 2015. [THR]

Joaquin Phoenix Sought for Villain Role in 'Batman vs. Superman'

If there were a word to easily sum up Joaquin Phoenix's career, it'd be "unpredictable". We're talking about the same guy who took a year off and pretended to start a rap career, even going so far as to make a movie about it. Since he's returned he hasn't really stopped trying new things, and is currently gaining some Oscar heat for Spike Jonze's unconventional sci-fi/romance Her. But one thing Phoenix hasn't done is star in a superhero movie, although that could be about to change.

Phoenix is reportedly being sought for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel, referred to as Batman vs. Superman. Variety says Warner Bros. wants him for the main villain role, which is expected to be Lex Luthor, although talks are extremely early and he may pass on it completely. It's not as if Phoenix has a history of taking blockbuster roles, and this would be one of the biggest in a crowded 2015 field. But it makes sense for the studio to seek out someone like Phoenix to play the top heel, as we've heard names like Jason Momoa and Callan Mulvey for the other bad guy part. Neither of those guys is a big enough name to sell tickets, but Phoenix has clout on the indie and mainstream circuit.

Look back on the highly idiosyncratic performances Phoenix has given in Her and The Master, and start thinking about what unique flourishes he could bring to Lex Luthor.  The Man of Steel sequel opens July 17th 2015.

Jason Momoa in Talks for 'Batman vs. Superman' Role

Attempts to turn Jason Momoa into an action star with Conan the Barbarian didn't exactly work out. In fact it turned out so badly a new film was ordered up immediately with ancient Arnold Schwarzenegger reclaiming the title role. But Momoa still looks the part of a warrior....or perhaps he'd make a better superhero? Warner Bros. seems to think it's the latter, as THR reports Mamoa is in talks for Batman vs. Superman.

There's no word on who Momoa would be playing in the Zack Snyder-directed sequel to Man of Steel, so it's possible he could be a foe rather than a friend to Superman and Batman. He'll be joining Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, with Nightwing still needed to be cast. Rumors have suggested Doomsday could be the chief villain and Momoa would make for a pretty good fit for it. Doomsday is a genetically altered creature of immense strength who actually killed Superman some time ago. THR speculates he could also be up for the role of Justice League member, Martian Manhunter, which he would not be as good a fit for.

If Martian Manhunter is indeed in the film, then we can probably pencil in the Flash and any number of other Justice League members. Chances are we will here definite word on Momoa's involvement one way or another, either from the actor himself or from Zack Snyder.

Man of Steel 2 (let's just call it that from now on, shall we?) opens July 17th 2015.

Amy Adams Doesn't Want a Love Triangle in 'Batman vs. Superman'

Now that Gal Gadot is confirmed for Batman vs. Superman, will it be Lois Lane vs. Wonder Woman for the heart of the Man of Steel? In the current run of DC Comics, Superman and Wonder Woman are a super-powered romantic couple and there's always a chance the films go in the same direction. One person who wouldn't be in favor of that is Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane and would be tossed in the middle of a love triangle she probably wouldn't win.  In a conversation with Superhero Hype she commented on what the addition of Wonder Woman could mean....

Adams: "Am I interested? I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries."

Some rumors have Wonder Woman debuting on the arm of Bruce Wayne, which has to drive some crazy that much of the conversation has been about which guy she'll be with.  David Goyer and Zack Snyder could go any number of ways with this, but in the end Adams probably doesn't have anything to fear. If the plan is to give Wonder Woman her own solo franchise at some point then latching her to another hero probably wouldn't work, although I would expect Lois Lane to be a little bit worried about having a tall, sexy, and extremely powerful Amazon princess hanging around.
