Vince Vaughn Goes On a Business Trip in First Trailer for 'Unfinished Business'

Good for Vince Vaughn that he'll get a chance to show what will presumably be a much darker side on HBO's True Detective next year, but he knows where his bread is buttered. That would be comedies just like Unfinished Business (formerly Business Trip), which put him back as the everyman in a film that looks like Planes, Traines, and Automobiles meets Old School.

Rejoining his Delivery Man director Ken Scott, with Dave Franco, Nick Frost, James Marsden, Sienna Miller, and Tom Wilkinson co-starring, Unfinished Business has Vaughn as a businessman who goes on a European trip to secure a major deal. Of course it goes sideways and soon he's going toe-to-toe with his old boss. This looks like standard course stuff for Vaughn, but the tone of this NSFW trailer shows there may be some dramatic edges. A few, but clearly not too many.

Unfinished Business opens March 6th 2015.

Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost Working on New Film Together

As sad as it was to see The Cornetto Trilogy wrap up (in perfect fashion, I might add) with The World's End, it opened a world of possibilities for Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, and Nick Frost. There was never any doubt the trio of longtime friends would get back together again eventually, even as they explored individual opportunities. And fortunately for us it looks like that reunion is happening faster than anybody would have thought.

In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Pegg revealed that he and Wright are already developing their reunion, although it probably won't happen until schedules can be worked out...

Pegg: "Edgar and I were having a conversation the other day about it, and it has a title and everything. We're kind of into a creative cycle now. We've all got different things [going] on and we know we have to get those things done. The coming-together thing is without question on the table and will happen when we can do it."

He went on to talk about the thematic connection between the 'Cornetto' films and how how this next project would be a lean break from those...

Pegg: "When we said the trilogy was over, it was because that group of films was over. They’re all kind of related with each other and deal with a specific idea. There’s a criteria to those films…The next thing we do won’t do that, it will just be something else. It will happen. We made three films in ten years and hopefully in the next decade we’ll make another three…I really love working with those guys and I wouldn’t ever not want to work with them. It’s not even a question."

For the time being Pegg will be busy with Star Trek 3 and Mission: Impossible 5, while Wright will be directing Baby Driver next. For those itching for a Pegg and Frost team-up, the duo will be reprising their Shaun of the Dead characters in a Phineas and Ferb Halloween special to air on Disney XD.  How cool is that?

Nick Frost to 'Look Away'; Wes Bentley and Jaimie Alexander Make 'Broken Vows'

* Nick Frost, Adelaide Clemens (Silent Hill: Revelation), and Hope Davis (Next Stop Wonderland) are set to lead the black comedy, Look Away. Monty Whitebloom and Andy Delaney, aka the directing duo known as BigTV!, are helming this one which has a pretty sweet premise. Clemens plays "a young woman suffering from so-called “selective blindness” that leaves her unable to see her own mother (Davis). In search of a cure, she sees a therapist (Frost), who’s in love with her and, having Asperger’s, is unable to empathize." Kind of sounds like a variation on Lynn Shelton's Touchy Feely. [Deadline]

* Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games) and Thor: The Dark World's Jaimie Alexander are set to make Broken Vows in the upcoming psychological thriller from debut director, Bram Coppens. Bentley plays a troubled man who goes into psychotic rage after being rejected by a woman (Alexander) he tries to seduce. [THR]

New Trailer for Nick Frost's New Comedy 'Cuban Fury'!

I will be the first to admit, when I first read the synopsis for Nick Frost's new flick Cuban Fury all I could think of was Balls of Fury (which I actually dug, please hold the tomato throwing until the end of the post). Still, something told me to reserve judgement, this was Nick Frost after all, Simon Pegg gets the credit but he was the heart of the Cornetto trilogy. He plays the down on his luck loser who anyone can root for with perfection. This domestic trailer only confirms my suspicions. Frost plays Bruce Garrett, a child prodigy at competitive salsa dancing that has since let himself go. When his new boss, played by the extremely delectable Rashida Jones, shows an interest in men who dance salsa Bruce decides to dust off his dancing shoes and salsa his way into her heart. Chris O'Dowd plays his co-worker and romantic opponent Drew which, if the trailer is to be believed, will be the source of a large percentage of the funny. I suppose you could say that this could go either way, but you would be wrong, Nick Frost has it in him to carry a film based on his charms alone...I think this is going to be that film. Check it out below!

New Trailer for 'The Boxtrolls' from the Makers of 'Coraline' and 'ParaNorman'

The amount of work that goes into stop-motion animation requires an extremely long lead time, which may explain why we've been seeing footage from Laika's The Boxtrolls since last summer. The film doesn't come out for months, but now another trailer has been released for what looks like another magical entry from the folks behind Coraline and ParaNorman.

Featuring the voices of Elle Fanning, Toni Collette, Jared Harris, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Ben Kingsley, Tracy Morgan, and Richard Ayoade, the Victorian-era story follows Eggs, an orphan in the town of Cheesebridge who was raised by trolls beneath the streets. Kingsley voices Archibald Snatcher, an exterminator hired to wipe out the Boxtrolls, who are believed to be stealing the city's children. This trailer also includes an original song by Cee-Lo Green.

With no animated projects from Pixar this year, perhaps there's room for Laika to finally get the attention they deserve? Co-directed by Graham Annable and Anthony Stacchi, The Boxtrolls opens September 26th.

Dance to a New Trailer and Clip from 'Cuban Fury' Starring Nick Frost and Chris O'Dowd

It's Nick Frost, it's Chris O'Dowd, it's that lovely Rashida Jones...how can Cuban Fury possibly go wrong? Well...the first trailer had a lot of moves but seemed a little out-of-step comedically, but maybe this latest cut and a new clip will find the right rhythm?  Frost and O'Dowd play office rivals who take up salsa dancing in hopes of winning Jones' love, and the physical humor between the two actors promises to be a highlight. Let's just hope it's not the only highlight.

Co-starring Olivia Coleman and Ian McShane, Cuban Fury opens in the U.K. next month. Nobody's asked it to dance here in the U.S. just yet.

Nick Frost Dances into Rashida Jones' Heart in Trailer for 'Cuban Fury'

While talking to Nick Frost during a Q&A for Edgar Wright's The World's End, Nick Frost talked about how his training for the extensive action sequences had come during the six months of dancing he put in for his Brit comedy, Cuban Fury. The film has always sounded like a winner with Frost dancing off against Chris O'Dowd. But now that the first trailer is here, does Cuban Fury have all the right the moves?

Frost stars as a likable, well-meaning regular dude who does what guys do in movies; namely fall head-over-heels in love with Rashida Jones. She's the new girl at the office, and when he discovers her passion for salsa dancing, he of course takes it up as a hobby, hoping to dance his way into her heart. Ian McShane turns up as a sort of dance Yoda, while O'Dowd is Frost's main competition for the dance crown and Jones' affections. Before long it's hip thrusts and awkward sexual tension at high noon.

So it's basically Billy Elliott meets Dodgeball? Eh. Cuban Fury opens in the UK on Valentine's Day but has yet to gain a U.S. date.

Review: Edgar Wright's 'The World's End' Starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

In a recent interview with Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright, the comedy trio and longtime friends compared themselves to R&B group, Destiny's Child. It may not seem to make much sense, but it's true in the sense that the members are more than capable of doing great work on their own; however the true magic really happens when they come back together. Doesn't seem so crazy now, does it? The World's End marks the conclusion (maybe??) of their beloved, pop culture-infused "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy, and like its predecessors Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, it's an entertaining, imminently quotable genre mash-up with surprising layers of depth.

If the first film used George Romero-esque zombies as a riff on middle-aged complacency, and Hot Fuzz a vehicle to literally blow up notions of civility, The World's End tackles another long-running theme: the dangers of living in the past. It's a darker, more adult film than the rest, and in it we see the continued evolution and growth of all involved. Pegg takes on his most mature role to date as Gary King, and as we see him reliving in glorious, hazy detail the greatest night of his youth in an epic pub crawl with his buddies, he appears to be just another in a long line of irresponsible louts. But as the flashback comes to a screeching, sudden halt, we see that there's something sad lurking behind the bravado. With little to live for and only his memories to cling to, Gary decides to round up the old gang and take another crack at the "Golden Mile"; one night, 12 pubs, 12 pints.

There's just one problem, and it's that all of his friends are fully-formed adults with lives and responsibilities, something Gary simply can't fathom. Peter (Eddie Marsan), Steven (Paddy Considine), Oliver (Martin Freeman), and Andrew (Nick Frost) all have their doubts about Gary, along with an unhealthy amount of pent up childhood angst, but they agree to return to their sleepy little hometown for one last night of drinking, jokes, women, and as it turns out, an extraterrestrial threat.

What the boys discover in quite brutal fashion, is that time continues to soldier on without you. That you can never truly go back to the way things were, and even worse, that much of the people who populated your life in those nostalgic glory days don't care that you left. The message hits home early as the guys venture to one of their favorite haunts, only to discover that it's now some sanitized "Starbucked" pseudo-pub where the bartender doesn't remember their names. The opening half of the film is funny but mostly played straight for poignancy as Gary struggles with the realization that he's not all that important. Or that everybody in town has changed for the worse while he remains the same. It's the height of self-delusion, and everybody seems to recognize it but Gary, whose obnoxious attitude only makes his friends, in particular Andrew, want to leave him behind for good.

Wright has improved tremendously as a filmmaker since Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, a film which perhaps reveled too much in its comic book/video game adoration to connect on any emotional level. The World's End is practically the polar opposite, and like the other "Cornetto" films it uses the chosen genre to enhance and underline the core themes and reveal aspects of each character's personality. It's become one of the trilogy's defining attributes, one Wright and Pegg perfected before with the short-lived but brilliant sitcom, Spaced. But whereas the action was always fairly simple in the prior movies, Wright dreams up some truly complicated set pieces as the real menace emerges in the film. The highlight by far is a terrific bathroom brawl between the gang and their enemies, with Wright's free-flowing camera tracking every crunching blow, brutal decapitation (it's more violent than you'd think), and People's Elbow. Pegg and Frost have also grown in physicality, and they have fun with their stage fighting by utilizing a number of moves pulled right from the WWE. What had been up to this point a dramatic affair turns on a dime to special effects comedic spectacle, and the transition isn't quite as smooth as in the earlier films. At the same time, Wright is better at using the framework to set up major themes, best exemplified by the opening flashback that forecasts the future insanity. He's also better at keeping up the pace despite the story being broken up into twelve parts, or pubs, and with so many characters needing their moment to shine.

The dynamic between Frost and Pegg has always been the glue that kept these films together, and while we get moments of their impeccable chemistry here and there, it's muddled due to the significantly larger cast. We're told about rather than experience the rift between Gary and Andrew, while the feud between Gary and Steven for the attention of Pam (Rosamund Pike) is given considerably more weight. Yes, it's a lot of fun watching Gary blow this rivalry beyond proportion but there's no substitute for seeing more of Pegg and Frost. Pegg gets the juiciest role, of course, and he really has become a seasoned actor capable of more than just pratfalls and goofy accents. His Gary is similar in some respects to Shaun, an irresponsible man child incapable of moving forward, but we also see some of the darker edges to him; the alcohol, the loneliness, and the bitterness that make the character unique. He's also a total prick, and he's never really taken to task for it, even as his friends seem to forget and forgive all too easily. It's also nice to see Frost do something other than play Pegg's slob pal. He's considerably more restrained and buttoned up here, at least for a while until he goes into full on Hulk rage.

Critic screenings for the film were preceded by a personal plea to not give away any of the film's biggest secrets. That includes plot twists (of which there are many) and cameos (of which there are some notable ones). While that isn't so shocking, it was the source of the plea that makes it so interesting: Edgar Wright himself. There will be plenty of critics who will ignore his "Be a mate?" request and spoil much of what the film has to offer, but it's sad that Wright has to ask this in the first place. Fortunately, The World's End has so much going on that it rewards repeat viewings, and if something gets spoiled along the way there will be something new to take its place. It's rare that a conclusion as anticipated as this ever meets expectations, but fans of Frost, Pegg, and Wright will be more than pleased and dying for a reunion.

New Trailer for 'The Boxtrolls' From the Studio Behind 'ParaNorman' and 'Coraline'

It's a small group of animators who are willing to dedicate themselves to the grueling process of stop-motion animation, and a few years ago it was the team at Laika who proved to be among their adaptation of Coraline. They followed it up with a fresh spin on horror with ParaNorman, and even though Laika may not have gotten the reaction to it they were hoping for, they're coming back again with another visionary animated tale in The Boxtrolls.

The first teaser has been released for The Boxtrolls, an adaptation of Alan Snow's illustrated novel Here Be Monsters! The Victorian-era story centers on an orphan named Eggs who was raised in an underground city by trash and cheese-collecting creatures known as Boxtrolls. Ben Kingsley leads a top notch voice cast which includes Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Game of Thrones), Simon Pegg, Elle Fanning, Toni Collette, Jared Harris, Nick Frost, Tracy Morgan, and Richard Ayoade.

Like Laika's previous films, there's a darkness that creeps in to the light-hearted story as an exterminator seeks to wipe the Boxtrolls out of existence. It's not clear by this footage just how faithful Laika intends to be, but judging by their track record we can assume it'll be pretty close.

The Boxtrolls opens on September 26th 2014.

Apocalyptic Spoilers In the New 'The World's End' Trailer

The long-awaited conclusion to Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy arrives this summer with The World's End, and unlike Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, there are elements of the story needing to be kept under wraps. We know the basic gist, that it follows five old friends attempting to recreate an epic pub crawl from their youth, only to discover that the fate of the world is at stake. But any attempt to keep further details secret just flew out the window with the latest trailer, which gives away the full nature of the threat they face. There's a nice nostalgic touch by revisiting the first two films, and clearly there are going to be plenty of call backs to some of the old gags, but for those who want to go in as clear as possible this may be a trailer to avoid.

Also starring Rosamund Pike, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, and Eddie Marsan, The World's End opens on August 23rd.

Six New Character Posters for 'The World's End'

Humanity is going to be in dire straits this summer, with both This Is the End and Edgar Wright's The World's End centered on the ruination of pretty much everything. While Seth Rogen's film hits theaters in just a couple of days (review will be up soon), Wright has been nice enough to give us a few more weeks of relative safety, but not without releasing a handful of new character posters.

The images feature stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Rosamund Pike, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, and Martin Freeman. Some of the pubs they'll be crawling seem to be used as a descriptor for a few of the characters, with Pegg as "The Famous Cock" and Freeman as "The Trusty Servant". Poor Marsan gets the short end of the stick as "The Pickled Newt", while faring much better is Pike as "The Intrepid Fox" and Considine as "The Lion Heart".

Following Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, The World's End will wrap up the "Three Flavours" trilogy on August 23rd. [Empire]

New U.S. trailer for Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's 'The World's End'

Together again, "just like The Five Musketeers". It's been a long five-year wait for Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz fans, but the end of the Cornetto (or Blood and Ice Cream) trilogy is finally upon us with Edgar Wright's The World's End, and after dropping a pair of posters on us yesterday a new trailer aimed at U.S. audiences has been released.

This cut of the trailer gives the impression that buddies Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine, and Martin "Bilbo Baggins" Freeman will be doing just as much fighting aliens as downing pints. They play five friends looking to conquer an epic pub crawl from their youth: "12 pubs, 12 pints". Along the way they discover the town has been taken over by robots, in much the same way zombies and corrupt cops ran roughshod through the last two films. The humor appears to be sharp and on point, with Rosamund Pike having a ton of fun as an old flame. Frost isn't as interesting to me when he's playing the stiff, buttoned-up type, but when he finally "hulks out" in the bar it's pretty hilarious.

The World's End arrives on August 23rd. Between this and Seth Rogen's This Is the End, which apocalyptic comedy are you most looking forward to?

Have a pint and enjoy two new posters for 'The World's End'

"Prepare to be annihilated". Is that by aliens or by copious amounts of ale? Two new posters for Edgar Wright's The World's End, which essentially sport the same image, have been released and they seem to suggest that the only way to survive the coming extraterrestrial invasion is to get really hammered, or to grab the nearest bar stool. The third leg of the beloved "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy reunites Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, joined by Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine, and Martin Freeman in the story of five friends who attempt to recreate an epic pub crawl from their youth, only to discover that the fate of humanity may be on the line.  It's good to see the gorgeous Rosamund Pike brought into the mix, and frankly she looks more formidable than the whole bunch of them. She does have that whole Wrath of the Titans experience to draw upon, right?

The World's End arrives on August 23rd.

First trailer for 'The World's End' starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

After giving the zombie genre a jolt with the hilarious Shaun of the Dead, then indulging in the cop comedy Hot Fuzz, Edgar Wright and his buddies Nick Frost and Simon Pegg made fans wait a good little while for their latest collaboration. As they all went their separate ways and began taking on other high-profile projects, it began to look like we may never see the wrap up to their "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy. But the reunion finally did take place, and now the first trailer for The World's End has finally arrived.

Other than a handful of images and a couple of posters, we haven't seen much from the film until now. Suffice it to say those who loved their previous work will be pleased by the trailer, which seems to traffic in the same level of humor as the others, even calling back some of the old gags. Eventually Pegg will learn not to try and hop any fences. Pegg and Frost are joined by Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, and Eddie Marsan as five friends who endeavor to recreate an epic pub crawl they failed at 20 years earlier. As expected, things go terribly wrong, glowing aliens show up, and the gang discover that the fate of humanity is in their hands.

The World's End opens in the UK in July, but we unfortunately have to wait until August 23rd. Boo hiss.

Martin Freeman and Eddie Marsan join 'The World's End'

Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, and Edgar Wright are already filming The World's End, the final chapter to their "Blood and Ice Cream" trilogy following Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but they aren't quite done casting yet. Two familiar faces are coming aboard, both of whom are probably best known for the little people they've recently played.

Martin Freeman(The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) and Eddie Marsan(Snow White and the Huntsman) have joined the film, which already has Rosamund Pike and Paddy Considine on board. Freeman actually made a cameo in Hot Fuzz a few years ago, along with his future 'Hobbit' director Peter Jackson. Marsan's a great actor, as well, who can be seen deadpanning his way through both Sherlock Holmes flicks and Happy-Go-Lucky. Check out the synopsis below...

PLOT: 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon
again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

This keeps getting better and better. The World's End is set to open some time in 2013.

Rosamund Pike joins 'The World's End' with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg

After seeming like an eternity, next year will finally bring the wrap up of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright's "Three Flavours" trilogy with the release of The World's End. Putting aside my excitement over it, what really has me hyped up is to find out what kind of cast they're going to be able to pull together for the big send off. Both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz featured some amazing cameos and bit players, and now it looks like The World's End will as well.

Baz Bamigboye over at the DailyMail has revealed that none other than former Bond girl, Rosamund Pike, has joined the cast. After toiling away in period dramas for much of her career, Pike has been making a more sustained move towards more mainstream fare recently. She starred earlier this year in Wrath of the Titans, and this December sees her alongside Tom Cruise in One Shot.

We don't know much about the plot beyond what we learned in the earlier synopsis, with Frost and Pegg playing two of five friends who seek to relive an epic pub crawl from 20 years prior. Along the way as they try and reconcile their past and present, they come across something that puts the fate of humanity's future in their hands. It's possible Pike could play one of the five friends, or she may just be popping up for a cameo. I'm personally hoping Jessica Hynes, Pegg's co-star on Spaced, will be one of the remaining friends. Fingers crossed!

Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, and Nick Frost's 'The World's End' shoots in September!

Although a lot of people loved the silly British sitcom, Spaced, most of us came to know and love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost through the first two chapters of their 'Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy". Directed and co-written by Edgar Wright, those films include genre spoofs Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. As Wright became busier with Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Attack the Block, and the upcoming Ant-Man film for Marvel, word on the final part of the trilogy, titled The World's End, has been slim. Until now, that is.

Deadline reports that Working Title Films is targeting a September start date for production on the film, which like the others will have Pegg and Wright teaming on the script, with the latter behind the camera. As the title suggests, this one will likely have some sort of sci-fi twist to it, but here's the plot breakdown Deadline provides:

"20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries."

This may turn out to be the most lucrative film in the series, thanks to the increased profiles of all three involved. Pegg has been a part of two major franchises in Star Trek and Mission: Impossible, and has paired up with Frost on the sci-fi/comedy, Paul. The two also lent their voices to The Adventures of Tintin. Wright has become a fan favorite in his own right, obviously thanks to Scott Pilgrim and Ant-Man, and will only see his stock rise now that he's set to direct Johnny Depp's The Night Stalker remake.

If September does turn out to be the date, that leaves the future of Ant-Man in some doubt. Either Marvel is taking it totally out of rotation, or is bumping it back significantly. Or maybe Wright will only produce and continue co-writing the script with Joe Cornish, with someone else stepping in to direct? Just snowballin' here. Nothing is certain right now.

Whatever the case, this is fantastic news. My Shaun of the Dead DVD has pretty much been worn out from repeated viewings, so maybe now is a good time to go ahead and step up to the Blu-Ray and start all over again.

Nick Frost and Chris O'Dowd dance the salsa in 'Cuban Fury'

How about this as a comedy pairing: Nick Frost, funnyman and Simon Pegg's running buddy from hysterical hits like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and last year's Attack the Block; and Chris O'Dowd, who was a scene stealer from last year's Bridesmaids? That get you a little bit amped up to see what these two can do when in the same flick? Yeah, me too.

The Sun(via Twitch) reports that the two will star in a UK production of Cuban Fury, in which they'll play rivals in the world of competitive salsa dancing. Seriously. Frost will play a former teen prodigy who had his career stalled by O'Dowd's character. Oh, this could be great, and the idea of these two trying to perform some of the most energetic dances on the planet is rife with comedic potential. The script comes from Jon Brown, and is backed by Big Talk Productions, who produced pretty much every Pegg/Frost team up we've seen. There's no director attached just yet.

While it looks like we're edging closer to Pegg, Frost, and Edgar Wright's final leg of the "Three Flavours" trilogy, this'll do nicely as a means of passing the time, don't you think? O'Dowd was just recently seen in the great ensemble comedy, Friends with Kids, and will be a part of Judd Apatow's This is Forty.

Nick Frost talks follow up to Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz

While it's been fun watching Nick Frost and Simon Pegg spread their wings, entering the Hollywood mainstream with flicks like Mission: Impossible, Star Trek, and Paul, what their earliest and biggest fans really want to know is when they'll finally put the finishing touches on the "Blood and Ice Cream" or "Three Flavors Cornetto" trilogy. For those less familiar that would be the follow-up to genre comedies Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, directed by and co-written by Edgar Wright.

When last I heard anything about it, the delay had been due to the group's outside ventures, most notably Wright taking time to direct Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Back in March, right around when Paul was hitting theaters, Pegg said they'd all be getting together soon and hopefully the film would be done some time in 2012.  Now while doing press for The Adventures of Tintin, Nick Frost has revealed to Comingsoon.net that the process may be further along than we knew...

Frost: There is a draft out there, which I’ve read, and it’s great, and I think our plan is to crack on and shoot next year. Touch wood. They move and they change but we definitely want to get on with it.

Sounds like the script is well on it's way. The last film has long had the proposed title of The World's End, which sounds like it could have something to do with a coming apocalypse. Shaun of the Dead was a zombie movie, while Hot Fuzz was a buddy cop picture. If they intend to stick to the spoofing of genres theme, then it would make sense for The World's End to be more science fiction.

For now, the best chance to sorta see all of the gang together again is in The Adventures of Tintin. Pegg and Frost voice the two bumbling detectives, Thompson & Thompson, while Wright co-wrote the script.
