Watch the delightfully insane trailer for 'Seven Psychopaths', with Colin Farrell and Woody Harrellson

Back in 2008, the black as ink hitman comedy In Bruges marked the career resurgence for its star, Colin Farrell. He showed a sensitivity and a humor that had been missing in his movies for years, and set him back on the path to becoming the leading man most always thought he could be. But the film also marked feature film debut for Martin McDonagh, and his vulgar, unflinching script and direction immediately marked him as a filmmaker to watch. Now with Farrell struggling again after a handful of flops, he's back and teaming up with McDonagh for his sophomore effort, Seven Psychopaths.

The first trailer has been released, and it looks like exactly the sort of crazy, violent, politically incorrect laugher that McDonagh has quickly become synonymous with.  Farrell plays a struggling writer trying to complete his latest manuscript, but finding little in the way of inspiration. He gets more than he could ever ask for when his two best friends, played by Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken, steal the beloved Shih Tzu of a psychotic crime boss, played by Woody Harrelson. Of course, things go wildly off the rails from there as violent retribution comes to anyone associated with the theft.

With Abbie Cornish, Olga Kurylenko, Tom Waits, Gabourey Sidibe, Kevin Corrigan, and Zeljko Ivanek part of the insanity, McDonagh has put together a cast that could make Seven Psychopaths his best film yet. He already won an Academy Award for a short film years ago, and In Bruges earned him a nomination for Best Screenplay. Could we be seeing one more in the next few months? Seven Psychopaths hits theaters on October 12th.....
