Evan Rachel Wood to headline '10 Things I Hate About Life'

So, there's been some pretty significant changes to 10 Things I Hate About Life, which we first learned about last May when Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) came aboard to star. The first is that the film, despite coming from Gil Junger, the director of 10 Things I Hate About You, is not actually a sequel as we initially thought.  Oh, and Atwell is out. There's that, too.

Instead it will be Evan Rachel Wood stepping into the lead. If you'll recall, Junger had said the inspiration for the story came after learning of a man who had committed suicide near a scenic overlook. That's certainly reflected in the story, which follows a young man and woman who meet while attempting suicide, embarking on a relationship that gives their lives new meaning. Filming begins later this month so expect the male lead to be announced very soon.

Junger previously admitted he's only doing this to keep the 10 Things I Hate About You cash flowing, and we've seen him milk the idea previously in the short-lived TV series. So hopefully this isn't some totally unnecessary piece of junk. [Deadline]
