First Trailer for Western 'Sweetwater' Starring January Jones

So we've just seen two trailers for under-the-radar Sundance films The Lifeguard and Austenland, and even though those movies don't have much in the way of buzz around them, they're The Avengers compared to Sweetwater. Directed by Logan Miller and starring Betty Draper...er, January Jones, the film received some of the harshest reviews at the festival and then completely vanished, with no U.S. distribution date in place even as the first trailer arrives before it hits some international markets.

The blood flies fast and often in the otherwise generic trailer, which has Jones as a pioneer woman in 1886 New Mexico seeking revenge against a religious zealot (Jason Isaacs) for the murder of her husband. Ed Harris grits his teeth and revisits his Appaloosa days as an ornery lawman, and Jones gets a chance to revisit the genre for the first time since The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. Other than having a woman in the typically male role of the vengeance-seeker, there's little about this that looks good at all.

Chances are Sweetwater, which may go by the title of Sweet Vengeance, will end up going straight-to-DVD at some point. Check out the trailer below...
