Trailer for Omnibus 'The Turning' with Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Hugo Weaving, and More

Omnibus films have always had a hard time finding an audience, no matter the amount of big names that may be attached. Case in point the Australian anthology film The Turning, which features performances by Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Rose Byrne, Hugo Weaving, and Miranda Otto, along with segments directed by David Wenham, Mia Wasikowska, and Justin Kurzel. Completed in 2013, it still hasn't secured a U.S. date but has a new trailer ahead of its U.K. release.

Based on the short stories of Tim Winton, The Turning tells ten interweaving stories largely centered on the troubled Lang family. Here's the official synopsis:

Ten stories interweave in their respective narratives, creating an intriguing and twisting central plot-line that often centres around the enigmatic members of the Lang family, each consumed by their shared pasts.

The Turning explores the impact of past on present, how the seemingly random incidents that change and shape us can never be escaped or let go of. All of the stories are bound together by recurring themes; the passing of time, regret, addiction and obsession.

A 90-minute broadcast version aired in Australia early last year, but the cut headed to theaters elsewhere would presumably run the full 180 minutes. The Turning opens in the UK on February 6th.

Melissa McCarthy Gets Some Action in the First Trailers for 'Spy'

No matter how you slice it, audiences love Melissa McCarthy. What's more, they love her when paired up with director Paul Feig who she worked with on the hit comedies Bridesmaids and The Heat. While we wait to find out of they'll get together again for Ghostbusters, the duo have another potential smash on their hands with Spy (formerly Susan Cooper), an espionage comedy that we now have green and redband trailers for.

McCarthy stars as Susan Cooper, a former schoolteacher who becomes a lowly analyst for the CIA who is forced into the field when another agent becomes compromised. This looks pretty funny, especially Jude Law as the secret agent whose allergies fouled up the prior mission. Beyond the spy stuff it looks like trademark McCarthy, and with a cast that includes Rose Byrne, Jason Statham, Bobby Cannavale, Miranda Hart, and 50 Cent she's going to have a lot of help.

Spy hits theaters on May 22nd.

Review: 'Annie' starring Quvenzhane Wallis, Jamie Foxx, and Cameron Diaz

Only the hard-knock-hearted can walk out of Annie without a smile on their face and a song in their head. Let's be honest; the original Annie musical about the perky and feisty red-headed orphan has long since worn out its welcome; reduced to clichés popping up in more contemporary musicals. So why not a proper remake; one given a blast of hip-hop energy by Jay-Z and Will Smith, with adorable Beasts of the Southern Wild breakout Quvenzhane Wallis reinventing the title role?

Annie has never been especially subtle; the original musical is schmaltzy beyond normal human tolerance. So why in the world would anyone think this one would be different? Of course it isn't. The differences are in the atmosphere, the contemporary setting, and the clever dance choreography. Wallis isn't a natural singer, that much is true, but she's as plucky and likable as ever so that we can't help but love her. The story should be a familiar one, although it begins by brushing past expectations off its shoulders.

This Annie demands to be called a "foster kid" rather than an "orphan", she ducks and weaves through the busy Harlem streets in hopes of locating the parents who abandoned her as a baby. The group home she lives in with other girls is run by the nasty and perpetually angry Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz), a former singer whose head is stuck in the 1990s. Hope you like C&C Music Factory because you'll hear it a lot when she's around. After a rousing rendition of " A Hard Knock Life", a chance encounter with stiff mayoral candidate and cell phone mogul Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) finds Annie under his care. It begins as a campaign tool but naturally grows into something more. Meanwhile, Hannigan is looking for a way to use the situation to get some of Stacks' money and be rid of Annie permanently.

Director Will Gluck (who gave us Emma Stone in Easy A) along with writers Aline Brosh McKenna and Emma Thompson, build their urban reimagining with a plethora of subplots that don't all payoff. Rose Byrne probably isn't the first we'd look to for song and dance numbers but she's a lot of fun as Stacks' lonely assistant and potential love interest. It should come as no surprise the best songs are performed by Foxx (remember his R&B career? Does it still exist?), while Wallis gets by purely on emotion. Her rendition of "Opportunity", one of a few new songs penned for the film, is touching enough to bring the entire crowd to tears.  The script is sharper than it has any need to be; paying homage without falling too deep into the nostalgia well. Plus there are a handful of hilarious cameos including a mock Twilight-esque parody with a couple of huge stars. While the Depression-era angst of the original is gone it's replaced by attitude and heart.

Clocking in at around two hours the film eventually loses steam as the expected lessons are learned and feelings laid bare in broad strokes. But you'll leave Annie happier than when you arrived and filled with the promise tomorrow can bring. Tomorrow, it's only a day away.

 Rating: 3.5 out of 5

The Sun Comes Out in the Final 'Annie' Trailers starring Quvenzhane Wallis and Jamie Foxx

What's the point in remaking a movie like Annie? Because it will probably make a ton of money this holiday season, that's why, especially with the might of Will Smith and Jay-Z backing it, along with the lovable Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) as the titular spirited orphan. With so much attention focused on the Oscar-contending dramas, a film like Annie will be a welcome diversion for families looking for a night out, even if it looks rather uninspiring to the rest of us.

Directed by Will Gluck (Easy A) and co-starring Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne, and Bobby Cannvale, this contemporary remake of the Broadway musical follows its spunky heroine as she deals with a mean foster mom and warms the heart of hard-nosed mayoral candidate Will Stacks. The sun-will-come-out soundtrack and flashy dance numbers may be the hottest thing about this film which is clearly aiming at the kiddies.

Annie opens on December 19th.

Djimon Hounsou Joins 'Tarzan'; Tim Roth Heads to 'Selma'; Rose Byrne Leads 'The Something'

* It's going to be a busy summer for Djimon Hounsou, who will be chasing after Chris Pratt's Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, while also voicing the villain in How to Train Your Dragon 2. And now he's taking on another franchise, joining David Yates' developing Tarzan film for Warner Bros. Hounsou will play Chief Mbonga in the film that has Alexander Skarsgard as the titular jungle hero. Margot Robbie, Samuel L. Jackson, and Christoph Waltz are also on board the film, which the studio hopes to have ready by July 1st 2016. [Deadline]

* Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs) and Niecy Nash (Reno 911!) are joining Ava Duvernay's MLK biopic, Selma. Roth will play controversial pro-segregation politician George Wallace, while Nash is civil rights activist Richie Jean Jackson. David Oyelowo is set to play Martin Luther King Jr. during his time fighting for voting rights in 1965 Alabama, considered by many to be the height of the civil rights movement.

* With Neighbors a definite hit and earning Rose Byrne the praise she pretty much always deserves, the film's producers, which includes Seth Rogen's Point Grey Pictures, are eager to work with her again. Byrne is being sought to star in The Something, a Gravity-esque comedy about astronauts who get lost in space. This would be the directorial debut of Rodney Rothman, the former head writer for Late Show With David Letterman. [THR]

Jamie Foxx's Heart is Warmed in New Trailer for 'Annie' Starring Quvenzhane Wallis

We've seen Jamie Foxx as the vengeful Django, the cold-hearted Electro, and the world-saving POTUS, but now he's met his toughest match in the form of Quvenzhane Wallis. Foxx is joining the Beasts of the Southern Wild breakout for Will Smith and Jay-Z's  remake of Annie, a hip-hop infused version of the Broadway musical. With Will Gluck (Easy A) directing and a cast that includes Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne, and Bobby Cannavale the film has all the star power it can handle and a new trailer to show them off.

Going with big nappy hair over Annie's trademark fiery locks, Wallis plays the rambunctious foster kid living a hard knock life in modern day New York City. Foxx is mayoral candidate Will Stacks who has his world changed and heart properly warmed by Annie's presence, while Diaz hams it up as her conniving foster mom, Miss Hannigan. This doesn't look like much but with a script by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) and Emma Thompson perhaps there is more to it? Mmmmm maybe not.

Annie hits theaters December 19th.

Jason Bateman and Tina Fey Sit Shiva in Trailer for 'This Is Where I Leave You'

An adaptation of Jonthan Tropper's novel This Is Where I Leave You has been one of the more heralded projects around Hollywood, drawing top flight directors and stars interested in being a part of it. At the forefront of its development was Jason Bateman, and when he and then-director Adam Shankman dropped out it looked like the film was dead. But Bateman returned, brought on Shawn Levy to replace Shankman, and rounded up a stellar cast for a film looks like just another bland family dramedy. What was all the fuss about?

The first trailer for This Is Where I Leave You features mismatched personalities, moments of family bonding and deep resentment all under one roof. The story follows a dysfunctional family reunited after the death of their patriarch, whose final wish was to have them sit Shiva for one week. Basically it means they're all stuck with one another for a few days so that any grievances are bound to be aired out.

While this looks about as formulaic as possible, having Bateman alongside Jane Fonda, Tina Fey, Jason Bateman, Rose Byrne, Adam Driver, Kathryn Hahn, Corey Stoll, Connie Britton, Ben Schwartz, Timothy Olyphant, Abigail Spencer and Dax Shepard goes a very long way. Still, this looks like a kinder, gentler August: Osage County. This Is Where I Leave You opens September 12th.

Review: 'Neighbors' Starring Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, and Rose Byrne

Seth Rogen is still everybody's favorite stoner; it's just that now he's an old stoner. In the raucous R-rated comedy Neighbors, Rogen's character gives in to the phony domesticated bliss that we see guys like Kevin James (name-checked in the movie, too!) enjoy in lousy network sitcoms. He's got a great wife played by Rose Byrne who is out of his league, a crappy job, a beautiful newborn child, and a hefty mortgage to contend with. But that urge to light up a fatty is still there, and that dichotomy of the responsible parent who also wants to be one of the guys is what keeps Neighbors interesting even as the puerile jokes run out of gas.

Mac (Rogen) and Kelly (Byrne) have just blown their entire savings on a new home in a seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood. They're young, not too far removed from their party hearty days, but now that they've had a daughter the pull of boring domestication is strong. So they feebly try to hang on to their youth with "spontaneous" sex (which the baby ruins), smoking a blunt on occasion (sometimes at work), and planning to go to raves with their friends. It doesn't happen, but the plan was sound.  It's a limbo time for them because neither wants to be all dull and old and stuff. Who does?

They're snapped into focus with the arrival of new neighbors, the rowdy dudes of fraternity Delta Psi Beta. At the head of this toga party bound-to-happen is Teddy (Zac Efron), a chiseled stud Mac breathlessly describes as "something a gay guy designed in a laboratory." With his loyal co-prez Pete (Dave Franco) and a veritable army of fast-livin' fraternity brothers at his disposal, Teddy plans to throw a rager worthy of going up in the Hall of Fame. In a pitiful attempt to look cool and hopefully convince the guys to keep the music down, Mac and Kelly make a sticky green peace offering, then hang out at one of the frat's all-night blow outs. Shot with ultraviolet energy by Nicholas Stoller, the party scenes are an absolute blast. It doesn't hurt that Rogen gets to act like a clown in them, emphasizing his oafish appearance in contrast to Efron. Ultimately, an agreement is made that if the noise gets unbearable, call the frat first rather than the cops. But when that plan goes up in smoke (pun intended!) and the cops are brought into the situation, Teddy feels betrayed and sets about making Mac and Kelly's lives miserable.

The turf war that erupts between this square couple and a bunch of overzealous dudes is more fun than a thousand beer pong matches, at least initially. The jokes, of which there are tons and many of them land like a punch to the jaw, consist of denigrating the yard bushes, exploding whoopee cushions, busted water pipes, and used condoms in the front lawn. There's even an attempt by Mac and Kelly to get the frat suspended by appealing to the university's image-conscious dean, played with blasé attitude by Lisa Kudrow.  It's all innocent and largely harmless shenanigans until things escalate a little too far out of control, and this is when screenwriters Andrew Cohen and Brendan O'Brien lose their way. Things take a turn for the dark side when Mac and Kelly actively set up Teddy's girlfriend to cheat on him, which leads to Teddy taking glee in their marital turmoil later on.  There's nothing funny about that at all, nor is Teddy's later comments about "watching" their young daughter grow up into a woman. As the violence goes from comedic to ugly, Neighbors begins to resemble an entirely different movie, and one this viewer was not especially into. I signed up for Neighbors, not Lakeview Terrace.

But when this film is on it's an absolute riot of juvenile, mildly-offensive gags with laughs coming a mile a minute. While we've all probably seen the De Niro impersonation scene a thousand times already in TV spots and trailers, it's much funnier in full context, and bit players like Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Carla Gallo, and Ike Barinholz hit the mark. In a way this feels like a coming out party for Efron who has never been asked to carry the comedic load like this before. His Teddy is a snot-nosed punk, but one with a touch of complexity. And hopefully this will be the film that finally earns Rose Byrne the attention she has so long deserved. If it wasn't already obvious after Bridesmaids that she is one of today's funniest women alive then Neighbors proves she is a true showstopper. She adds gravitas to a role that could have been overshadowed by Rogen's goofy antics, but instead it's her who gives a towering comedic performance.

So what you have is the old couple trying to recapture their youthful vigor, Teddy who sees in them what could be his future. There isn't a ton of time spent on this dynamic but it's enough, and told with enough honesty to be relevant. Most of the work is done by Rogen and Efron in the way their characters interact with one another non-verbally. It's clear right away that Mac sees Teddy as the guy he wishes he was back in college. Not that you'll come to Neighbors for poignant insight on growing up. It isn't straining to be much, but as a "bros before hos" flick with some big laughs, Neighbors gets a passing grade.

Two Red Band Trailers for 'Neighbors' Starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron

While we've come to expect Seth Rogen as the pot-smoking party guy in R-rated comedies, but next month we'll have a chance to see him play the boring old married guy in Neighbors. And instead, it'll be the formerly squeaky-clean Zac Efron offering up the crudest gags while Rogen plays the straight man. That role reversal is the draw surrounding the Nicholas Stoller-directed film, which has just released two more red band trailers.

Efron plays the head of a rowdy fraternity making the lives of their married neighbors, played by Rogen and Rose Byrne, miserable with their constant partying. Pretty soon, it's a battle for neighborhood supremacy as an open war of lewd pranks erupts.

Neighbors rolls out the welcome mat on May 9th.

Two New Clips from 'Neighbors' Starring Zac Efron and Seth Rogen

The early word on Neighbors coming out of SXSW is that it may be one of the funniest comedies of the year and an R-rated smash for Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. It's a combination that always held a lot of promise, and the trailers we've seen have been wild, showing an antagonistic and sharply funny side of Efron we haven't seen before. It also looks like a serious step up for Nicholas Stoller, who last directed the disappointing Five-Year Engagement.

Two more clips show the first meeting between the boring couple played by Rogen and Rose Byrne, and the rowdy frat boys next door, led by Efron and Dave Franco. It's an awkward introduction to say the least, but at least there's a pretty good Game of Thrones reference thrown in. The next clip shows how attempts to smooth out the tension at a De Niro-themed party don't exactly go as planned.

Neighbors hits theaters on May 9th.

The Hard Knock First Trailer for 'Annie' Starring Quvenzhane Wallis and Jamie Foxx

Originally conceived as a starring vehicle for Will Smith's daughter, Willow, the former Fresh Prince has been bringing every ounce of his celebrity strength to his remake of Annie. Teaming up with Jay-Z and bringing in the adorable Quvenzhane Wallis of Beasts of the Southern Wild to play the spunky little orphan, the first trailer has arrived for the hipper update on the classic Broadway musical.

Directed by Will Gluck, the film stars Jamie Foxx as Benjamin Stacks and Cameron Diaz as the cruel Miss Hannigan, but this is clearly Wallis' show. This will be her first major role since 'Beasts' after a minor appearance in 12 Years a Slave, and it looks like all of the talent and charm that earned her a Best Actress nomination is being put on display yet again. This looks like a sure-fire crowd favorite, and with Jay-Z working on the soundtrack it's bound to have some catchy jams, too.

Co-starring Rose Byrne, Adewale Akkinuoye-Agbage, and Bobby Cannavale, Annie hits theaters Christmas Day.

New Trailer and Poster for 'Neighbors' Starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron

Zac Efron's a raging fratboy jerk, Seth Rogen's a mild-mannered family man. The normal rules don't seem to apply in Nicholas Stoller's upcoming comedy, Neighbors, but as we've seen in prior trailers and now this latest one, the results are pretty hilarious.

Rogen and Rose Byrne play a happily married suburban couple who get more than they bargained for when a fraternity moves in and disrupts the neighborhood with their wild parties and juvenile antics.  Rather than working it out, a war for supremacy erupts that pushes both sides past the boundaries of decency, and only seems to keep escalating. It's good to see Efron playing someone with a bit more edge, but Rogen and Byrne's failed attempts to keep it cool remain a highlight for me. Looking forward to this one big time.

Also starring Dave Franco, Jake Johnson, Carla Gallo, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Neighbors rolls out the welcome mat on May 9th.

New Trailer for 'Neighbors' Starring Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, and Rose Byrne

The red band trailer for Nicholas Stoller's frat-house comedy Neighbors was extremely funny, but would a tamer version still carry as many laughs? Turns out the answer is a resounding "yes". A green band trailer has arrived and it continues to look like one of the most promising comedies of 2014, which may be why Universal is getting the push started for it so early. In a slight reversal of roles, it's Seth Rogen who plays the clean cut family man while Zac Efron is the raucous frat boy terrorizing his family with cruel (and hilarious) pranks. There are some bits of new footage, including more of Dave Franco's great Robert De Niro impression, and a funny gag involving a very provocative bush.

Co-starring Rose Byrne, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Lisa Kudrow, Craig Roberts, and Jake Johnson, Neighbors opens on May 9th 2014.

It's a 'Bridesmaids' Reunion as Rose Byrne Joins Melissa McCarthy in Paul Feig's 'Susan Cooper'

We're probably never going to get a Bridesmaids sequel (*sniffle*), but we can still get a reunion of its amazingly talented female cast, and its decidedly male director. A few months ago Melissa McCarthy took the starring role in Susan Cooper, a new spy comedy from Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, and while we haven't heard much since, it just got a little bit better now that Rose Byrne is in early talks to co-star.

Designed as a potential franchise, the film centers on a female super spy similar to James Bond, but with a tone that resembles McCarthy's hit buddy comedy, The Heat. Feig, who will write the script and produce, has spoken often about a desire to develop more female-led films, and was attached to direct a new Bridget Jones' Diary movie before that fell through.

Byrne has been on an absolute roll ever since the nearly $300M Bridesmaids haul, and this year alone she's starred in The Internship, The Place Beyond the Pines, Insidious Chapter 2, and the romantic comedy I Give It A Year. Filming on Susan Cooper will take place between seasons of McCarthy's (terrible) CBS comedy Mike & Molly. [TheWrap]

The Talent Show: Rose Byrne

If there's one woman that makes you question the accuracy of the "Girl Next Door" type, it's Rose Byrne. You see, it's true that she's got a normal beauty to her and is free of any of the enhancements that run amok in Hollywood, but I don't remember any girls like this kicking around in the neighborhood growing up. First gaining her ultra-hottie status as Brad Pitt's one-time hostage/full-time lover in Troy, Byrne has been graciously showcasing not only her beauty, but her ability as an actress in films like Insidious, X-Men: First Class, and Bridesmaids. The icing on the cake? She's funny! Just check her out in the hilarious and underrated Get Him to the Greek. You can check Rose out in this weekend's Insidious: Chapter 2, and with no less than 4 movies in some stage of production this elegant beauty won't be going anywhere any time soon!

Rose Byrne May Join 'Annie' and 'The Man from UNCLE' ; Jeff Wadlow to 'Go Fast'

* Rose Byrne is in talks to join the big screen Annie remake, which has Will Smith and Jay-Z on board as producers. Quvenzhane Wallis is set to play the famous orphan, with Jamie Foxx as Benjamin Stacks, a version of Daddy Warbucks. Byrne would play his assistant, and Cameron Diaz is also co-starring in the Will Gluck-directed musical.

Byrne is also being sought for a role in Guy Ritchie's The Man from UNCLE, based on the spy TV series. The film has had trouble securing big name stars, but seems to have settled on Henry Cavill as American agent Napoleon Solo, Armie Hammer as Illya Kuryakin, and Alicia Vikander in a supporting role. But the changes have led to a budget slash, and producers may have trouble signing Byrne. [THR]

* Jeff Wadlow is on something of a roll right now, and it doesn't seem to be easing up. In fact, it's about to go a lot faster. Wadlow has Kick-Ass 2 coming up this summer, and he's penning Fox's X-Force. Now he's set to direct Go Fast, which is described as Fast & Furious with speed boats. Seriously. If it works for cars, why not boats? Quite the on-the-nose title though, right? Clearly going for a Speed vibe. [Deadline]

Rose Byrne in talks for 'This Is Where I Leave You' and 'Townies'

Walking the line between drama, comedy, and blockbusters better than most, Rose Byrne has been all over the place of late, and that's a good thing for the rest of us. The Bridesmaids star probably won't be back for X-men: Days of Future Past, but she'll be seen soon in Derek Cianfrance's powerful The Place Beyond the Pines. Now she's entered talks for two more films with strong casts.

THR reports that Byrne is circling a role in Shawn Levy's adaptation of Jonathan Tropper's This is Where I Leave You. Already starring Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Jane Fonda, Adam Driver, Kathryn Hahn, and Corey Stoll, the film follows an estranged Jewish family who are forced to sit Shiva under the same roof after the death of their patriarch. Family squabbles and other fun things ensue, with Byrne taking on the romantic lead as Bateman's former crush.

The Nick Stoller-directed comedy Townies has been in the works for a couple of years with Seth Rogen and Zac Efron attached. With a start date slated for this spring, Byrne has come aboard the film which centers on a rivalry between a townie (Rogen) and an alpha male frat boy (Efron) who is ruining his home life.  Byrne will play the wife to Rogen and the responsible half of the couple.

Rose Byrne, Patrick Wilson, and James Wan returning for 'Insidious 2'

James Wan is going to have a busy summer next year, but if recent history proves anything it will also be a highly profitable one. The director scored one of his biggest hits with the psycho-horror Insidious, which nearly cracked $100M on a measley $1M budget, and now he's looking to replicate that success on August  30th 2013 with Insidious Chapter 2.

We learned last February that a sequel was already in development, with Wan's frequent writing partner Leigh Whannel revealing that he and Angus Sampson would be reprising their roles as the ghostbusting duo of Specs and Tucker. With Film District now giving the film the green light, it's also been confirmed that Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson will be back, along with Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins as the boy who found himself possessed by demons from another realm.

Next July also sees the release of The Conjuring, a second horror film from Wan which also features Wilson in a leading role, so they'll be competing against themselves next summer. Wan also recently signed on to go in a different direction by taking on a big screen version of 1980s TV series MacGyver, but clearly that will have to wait.

Rose Byrne replaces Greta Gerwig in The Place Beyond the Pines

A little bit of mixed emotions on this story. One of the best looking movies we'll likely be seeing next year is The Place Beyond the Pines, Derek Cianfrance's much anticipated follow-up to Blue Valentine. The star-studded film covers a multi-generational feud between a motorcycle stunt rider who robs banks to support his son, and a cop turned politician. Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Ben Mendelsohn, and Ray Liotta make up just a portion of a fantastic cast.

One name you'll note that I left off is my indie darling, Greta Gerwig(Greenberg), who has long been linked to the role of Cooper's wife. Unfortunately, her hectic schedule has forced her to pull out, and while I'm disappointed in that, her replacement is more than adequate. Rose Byrne, already seen this year in Insidious and Bridesmaids, has stepped in to take her place.

This is a lateral move, in my opinion. Both actresses have proven they can handle the dramatic just as easily as comedy, although by the sounds of it the latter won't be called for so much in this film.  Shooting is already underway, so expect to see The Place Beyond the Pines on the festival circuit next year. Trailer Time: Insidious, starring Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne

The last time a James Wan directed flick made it's way to the big screen it was the awful Kevin Bacon revenger, Death Sentence. Not the way you'd expect the career of the man who basically started the Saw franchise to wind up. Thankfully for him things appear to be looking up with some genuinely positive buzz about his latest flick, Insidious.

Starring Rose Byrne(X-men: First Class) and Patrick Wilson(Little Children), the film is about a family that realizes the body of their comatose son is attracting evil spirits while his mind is trapped in a realm known as The Further.  Spooky!  Insidious is currently making the festival circuit but will be released nationally on April 1st. Check out the trailer below!
