Trailer Time: Jiro Dreams of Sushi
Sushi is something of a new revelation for me. I didn't start eating it until a couple of years ago, and have fallen in love with it since. The subtlety of the flavors, but also the technique and the art by which it's prepared. Others I know would consider themselves sushi connoisseurs(in the way I'm an expert in all things pizza), and for them a movie like Jiro Dreams of Sushi must be like a dream.
The documentary focuses on Jiro Ono, the man many consider to be the greatest sushi chef ever. At the age of 85, he can still be found in his world renowned 10-seat sushi shop located in a Tokyo railway station. Sushi lovers call months in advance just for a chance to taste his delicious food, which he still strives to perfect each and every day. The story will also follow the complicated relationship between Jiro and his son, Yoshikazu.
A new trailer for Jiro Dreams of Sushi has been released, which I suggest you not watch if there's a rumbling in your tummy. My mouth's watering just thinking about it. Check it out below, and look for the documentary when it rolls(like a Shrimp Roll!) into theaters on March 9th....
