Full 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Super Bowl Spot, plus 'Enemies Unite' Teaser

There's been a great deal of emphasis on the villain of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and of course we know why now. With plans to spinoff into a Sinister Six film and broaden Spidey's universe, the bad guys have received more attention than the wallcrawler himself. That trend continues with the release of both halves of the sequel's Super Bowl spot, plus an awesome "Enemies United" sizzle reel hyping Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, and Dane DeHaan as the Green Goblin.

If there's something else to take from this, it's that we may not want to count on Gwen Stacy finishing up the trilogy.

Starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2nd.

The Dinobots Rampage in 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' Super Bowl Spot

After years of promises that were never fulfilled, the fan-favorite Dinobots are finally stampeding their way into Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction. Will Bay screw around with their look the way he's tweaked other popular characters from the 1980s cartoon/toy franchise? Well that answer is starting to be revealed today with first footage aired during tonight's Super Bowl.

As expected, it's epic stuff with Optimus Prime swinging his laser sword while riding atop a Dinobot's back. Transformers are getting parachuted in guns blazing, and basically Bay is pulling out all the stops for what is his "final" Transformers film. It looks like he'll lean pretty hard on new star Mark Wahlberg to carry a lot of the action in a way Shia LaBeouf couldn't. Can't really blame him for that.

Transformers: Age of Extinction opens June 27th. Grimlock smash!

*UPDATE* Two Full Super Bowl Trailers for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

Marvel gave us a tease of their Super Bowl spot for Captain America: The Winter Soldier last week, but they made sure to get their money's worth now with a full 2 1/2 minute trailer for the superhero sequel. Chris Evans is back as Captain America in a film that looks a lot more 'Bourne Identity' than anything we've seen from Marvel up to this point.  The storyline seems vaguely reminiscent of the 'Death of Captain America' storyline with Cap questioning SHIELD's actions, Bucky returned as the brainwashed Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), and the villain Crossbones (Frank Grillo) lurking around. Scarlett Johansson co-stars as Black Widow with Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Robert Redford as SHIELD brass Alexander Pierce. Here's the official synopsis, followed by the trailer.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4th.

PLOT: After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

'Muppets Most Wanted' Reveals an Extended Super Bowl Spot

The Super Bowl kicks off in just a manner of minutes, and your TV sets will be flooded with far more than just the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. You'll also be treated to a wealth of new TV spots and trailers, and Disney has just revealed a new, extended web-only one for Muppets Most Wanted. The Euro crime caper features Kermit, Miss Piggy, with human stars Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, and Ty Burrell along with a host of celebrity cameos too numerous to list. Here's the official synopsis followed by the spot....

PLOT: Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows theMuppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

"Big Game" TV Spot and Clip for George Clooney's 'The Monuments Men'

Are you ready for some football....and more attempts to sell you worthless stuff than should be legally allowed? Whether the Super Bowl is any good or not, we can all be honest here and admit that a lot of people watch it for the commercials, and for movie geeks like us it's about the tons of TV spots for some of the year's biggest films. While most will be keeping an eye out for what should be a massive spot for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, George Clooney wants you to remember that The Monuments Men is right around the corner on February 7th.

The Super Bowl spot for the historical heist drama has been released early, and basically it's about showing off the great cast Clooney has put together. He's surrounded himself with Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, John Goodman, Bill Murray, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, and Hugh Bonneville in the story of a special WWII unit of art curators put together to recover priceless art from the Nazi thieves. Crazy, but it's true, and you can check out the ad plus a new clip below.

Watch 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Super Bowl Teaser

So what do you do when neither of your teams has made it to the Super Bowl? What reason is there to watch the game other than to eat a lot of junk food and see how terrible the halftime show is? There's always the super-expensive commercials, and of course the TV spots studios have plunked down a pretty penny to get in front of as many eyes as possible.

This year has seen some of the spots debuting a few days early, but Sony is content to tease us with only Part 1 of their spot for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. At only 40 seconds in length it packs a ton of action, shows off the flashy new villains played by Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, and Paul Giamatti. And there's even a tease of the ultimate fate for Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone.

Check out the teaser now, and tune in to the big game this Sunday to see the rest.

Zombies zombies and more zombies in the 'World War Z' Super Bowl TV spot

In terms of sheer audience size, it doesn't get any bigger than Super Bowl weekend, and as has been the trend in recent years, the studios are pumping out TV spots for their most high profile films. It's a smart move on their part to reach as many folks as possible and get the word out, even if most of the actual content isn't all that great. Case in point, Paramount's Super Bowl spot for World War Z.

They've released the 33-second ad early, and mostly it's stuff we've seen before with Brad Pitt nearly overtaken by millions of computer animated zombies. The film has had some pretty extensive reshoots lately, so they may still be trying to tighten those up. As a huge fan of Max Brooks' book, I can't tell you how disappointing it is that the film's only goal seems to be to cram as many of the undead on the screen as possible.

Directed by Marc Forster (which should also give one pause), World War Z arrives June 21st.

Full 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Super Bowl TV spot

This came out a few days ago but it's such a kick ass spot it's worth revisiting. Other than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson quoting Jay-Z, G.I. Joe: Retaliation looks simply incredible. I know it may be hard to believe, but 'Joe' is a remarkably hard franchise to get right. You can look to a number of failed comic books and cartoons for evidence. Even the first film by Stephen Sommers, while better than expected, had it's share of flaws. G.I. Joe is a weird mix of military action and a deep kung fu lore that is hard to get just right. Jon Chu, a director who has had a long love for the franchise, appears to have just said "F**k it" and threw everything against the wall to see what sticks. Y'know what? That might be the right idea.

So we got Snake Eyes fighting ninjas on a mountain, Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis trading macho tough guy talk, and a look at Cobra Commander which should help us all forget how terrible he was in the last film.  I can't wait for this! Check out the full Super Bowl spot for G.I. Joe: Retaliation below, and mark your calendars for June 29th....

Extended Super Bowl spot for 'The Avengers'

Loki has an army? The Avengers have a Hulk. I love that exchange. A few weeks ago I was lamenting that it was only in one of the foreign versions of the trailer, and now here it is for everyone to see in this new Super Bowl TV spot. For those who saw it on TV, this version is a few seconds longer. But seriously? It's all worth it just for that 360 degree shot of the entire team preparing to kick a little alien ass.

The Avengers opens on May 4th, check out the new spot below....[BleedingCool]

Star Trek Super Bowl Spot

Here's the spot that ran during last night's Super Bowl for the new Star Trek. The trailers and spots they are releasing are really doing alot for my confidence in this movie. I definatley see what they mean by 'This is not Star Trek for Trekkies', the action, which I thought lacked in the movies/TV series before, seems to be on overload. I just hope it's not like a "watch cool Capt. Kirk be a space James Bond" type flick but we shall see.
